The logistics industry is one of the most important part of any country for success. All companies in a country depend on the logistics to help deliver their services and secure a strong supply chain. This industry in United Arab Emirates is very strong and well-developing with different investments being placed for it.
However, recent news shows the importance of the logistics industry in the country especially with e-commerce being the main direction the world moving towards. The e-commerce market in United Arab Emirates is expected to reach a total value of $17.8 billion in 2020. Reaching this value will depend greatly on the logistics industry to help provide and cope with the huge number of sales that are expected.
The average value for one shopper in United Arab Emirates is reaching $300. This might not be considered as a huge value, however it is one of the greatest in the world compared to France at $94 and Saudi Arabia at $90; through a report and study provided by Business Monitor International (BMI).
This was commented on by the chairman of Gulf Pinnacle Logistics, Shailesh Dash who said, “The aggressive growth of the e-commerce market in the UAE increases demand for professionally qualified logistics service providers to meet the logistics requirements of their customers. It is in the best interest of the e-commerce players to entail professional logistics service which would result in faster growth, success and dynamism for the company.”
