ABC, The Airport Belgrade Catering, firm which was completely acquired by a group of firms supported by an entity of government ‘Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development’, Emirati-owned Cirta Group, has secured the greatest deal with the flag carrier of the country ‘Air Serbia’.
According to the terms of the agreement, ABC will be providing the Serbian airline firm, in which Etihad Airways has an ownership stake of 49%, with logistics solutions and catering services for 8 years. The deal can be renewed for a total period of 15 years.
The signing of the agreement was done by the Chairman of the Cirta Group, Abdullah Al Shammari, and the Chief Executive Officer of Air Serbia, Duncan Naysmith. Present during the signing were the UAE Embassy representative, Ibrahim Al Darmaki, who attended the event on behalf of Mubarak Saeed Ahmed Barasheed Al Dhaheri; United Arab Emirates Ambassador to Serbia, and staff members from both parties.
The Chief Executive Officer of KFED, Mouza Al Nasri, stated that we are proud of the successful achievements of the projects supported by KFED & the notable accomplishment of Cirta Group & its subsidiary ‘ABC’. We reiterate our continued commitment of providing the group & other projects led by Emirati with the necessary support in recognition of their crucial role in the socio-economic development of Abu Dhabi, as well as, the United Arab Emirates.
It was revealed by the Chairman of Cirta Group, Abdulla Al Shammari that the agreement will be covering the provision of in-flight catering & duty-free products, sale services, & various logistics solutions to over 20 thousand flights operated by Air Serbia.
ABC will be delivering 4 primary services, which are the provision of in-flight meals & catering services, duty-free products, on-board sales, & various other logistics solutions. The agreement underwent demanding processes to make sure it met the industry requirements & complied with the present regulations in the domestic airport & aviation sectors.
